Dill Rava Idli
Dill Rava Idli/
Sabbasige rave idli is a filling breakfast. Easy to rava idlis when you don’t
have nay idli or dosa batter, this rava idli is the one that you can make
instantly.
You can always
add the veggies of your choice, I like the flavor of dill/ sabbasige soppu. Grated
Carrots, peas, finely chopped green beans can also be added apart for dill.
Good to make on fasting days.

Ingredients:
o
1 Cup Sooji
o
½ Cup chopped
dill leaves/ Sabbasige soppu
o
½ tsp Turmeric
powder
o
2 chopped green
chillies
o
1 tsp grated
ginger
o
1 cup curd
o
1 cup water
o
½ tsp Eno fruit
salt
o
½ tbsp broken
cashews (optional)
Ingredients for seasoning:
o
½ tsp Mustard
seeds
o
½ tsp urad dal
o
½ tsp channa dal
o
½ Tsp Cumin seeds
o
Oil
Method:
o
In a skillet make
the seasoning and add the broken cashews and saute for a few seconds.
o
To this add the
chopped dill leaves, ginger, green chillies and saute for 3-4 minutes on low to
medium flame.
o
Now add the rava/
sooji and saute for 3-4 minutes and put off the stove.
o
In a mixing bowl
add the curd, water, turmeric powder and salt and give a good mix and set
aside.
o
Once the rava/
sooji mix is cooled and this mixture to the curd mixture and mix well. Let the
mixture rest for 15 minutes.
o
After 15 minutes,
add the eno salt and give a quick mix. Grease the idli mould and pour the rava
idli mixture.
o
Steam mix for
15-20 minutes.
o
Serve the rava
idlies with chutney and enjoy.
