Apple Halwa
Easy and simple
dessert with Apples. Especially when you go to pick apples from the farm in
FALL.

Ingredients:
o
2 Apples (Peeled
and grated)
o
¼th Cup Sugar
o
2 Tbsp Ghee/
Clarfied Butter
o
½ tsp Cinnamon
Powder(optional)
o
¼ tsp Cardamom
Powder(optional)
o
Assorted nuts to
garnish
Method:
o
Peel and grate
the apple, discard the seeds.
o
Take a saucepan, heat
the ghee and add the grated apple to the saucepan and give it a stir. Heat must
be on low to medium
o
After about
15mins the moisture starts evaporating. Time to add sugar. Stir the mixture
well. Sugar melts and the halwa will be liquidy.

Cook well. After
around 10 mins add the cinnamon/ cardamom powder. Mix well.
o
Once there is no
moisture in the halwa mixture, the Apple halwa is ready to be switched off. Add
another teaspoon of ghee which is optional and garnish with assorted dry
fruits(nuts).
