Rave Unde
Rave unde(Semolina Laddu) a quick,
aromatic and tasty dessert. It’s a popular Indian sweet that is made during
festivals.
This recipe is inherited from my
Dodda( S’s Grandma). She was a sweetest person I have ever seen.

Ingredients:
o
1 Cup- Sooji/ Semolina/ rave
o
¾ Cup – Powdered Sugar/ Pudi sakkare
o
½ Cup – Desiccated coconut
o
1/8 Cup - Milk
o
2 Tbsp- Ghee/ Clarified butter
o
½ Tbsp each- Raisins/ roasted Cashew
pieces
o
Cardamom powder (Optional)
Method:
o
In a pan roast
the Rava/ Semolona/ sooji with ghee on a medium to low heat until it changes
its color until the raw smell goes off.
o Add desiccated coconut and mix, roast for couple of minutes. Switch the stove off.
o Add the powdered sugar, roasted nuts, raisins and cardamom powder and give a good mix.o To this mixture add the milk and mix well.
o Once the mixture is warm/ cool and you are able to handle the heat, take a small portion and start making the laddus.o Store it in an airtight container.
