Spinach Garlic Cheese Bread



Again one of our favorites, “Spinach Garlic Cheese Bread”. Super soft and buttery, melts in the mouth. Homemade garlic spinach bread is such a treat. Minced fresh garlic and Spinach are key to these flavor-packed crusty slices of the bread.

Spinach garlic cheese bread goes great with pastas, soups, even salads.

Ingredients for Dough



All-purpose flour
Whole Wheat flour
Milk
Dry Yeast
Butter
Garlic
Italian Seasoning
Olive Oil

½ Cup
½ Cup
¼ Cup
1 Tsp.
1 Tsp.
1 Tsp.
1 Tsp.
2 Tsp.

For Filling
Chopped Spinach ( loosely packed)
Chopped Garlic
Mozarella Cheese
Red Chilli Flakes
1 Cup
1 Tbsp.
¼ Cup
½ Tsp.
Method
1.   In a mixing bowl, add warm milk, Sugar and yeast together. Let it sit for 5 mins.
2.   To this add flour, butter, Italian seasoning, salt and chopped garlic and knead the dough. Knead a smooth dough. Coat the dough with a tsp of oil and cover it. Let the dough rest for an hour and a half.

3.   Preheat the oven to 400 degree F.
4.   Once the dough rises( doubles the original size ), knead the dough again lightly and flatten the dough.

5.   Meanwhile melt a tsp of butter and Italian seasoning to spread on the flattened dough. Smear the butter on the flattened dough.

6.   In another bowl mix the chopped spinach, chopped garlic, chilli flakes and mozzarella cheese.

7.    Throw in chopped spinach mixture on the flattened dough on one side and fold it half and seal the edges.



8.   Brush some olive oil on the folded and Sealed dough. Sprinkle some Italian spices and red chilli flakes. Slightly make some vertical cuts on the bread.

9.   Bake the bread for 15 mins until the bread turns golden on the top.
10.         Cut it and serve while it is warm.
