Semiya Tomato Bhath
Simple
and yummy Semiya tomato bhath which can be served as a breakfast or at
dinner. You can as well add veggies instead of tomato paste. The tomato paste
I used here is store brought. We can either chop tomatoes for making this
dish.

Roasted Semiya
Chopped Onion
Tomato Paste
Green Peas
Roasted Cashews
Curry Leaves
Cumin Seeds
Oil
Coriander Leaves

Method
1. Take enough
water add a bay leaf and a cardamom in the water ( cardamom and bay leaf is just to enhance flavor of the semiya ) and cook the semiya. The
semiya should not be cooked too soft. Drain the water and set the semiya
aside.
2. Grind the ingredients
under “to grind” to a coarse consistency.
3. Heat oil in a
pan. Add cumin seeds and let it crackle a little. Add chopped onion and curry leaves and sauté
for about 4-5 minutes.
4. Add ground
coarse paste and tomato paste and mix well. Saute the mixture for 4-5 minutes.
5. Add cooked
semiya and roasted cashew. Mix well and cook for 3-4
minutes.
6. Garnish with
chopped coriander leaves and serve.
