Pudina Chutney Pudi


Pudina pudi is similar to Chutney Powder, and goes well with breakfast items like Idly, Dosas. Pudina pudi has nice aromatic aroma from the mint and can be served with ghee. Adjust chillies according to your taste.

Mint
Channa Dal
Urad Dal
Desiccated Coconut
Dry Red Chillies
Salt
Jaggery
Tamarind

Method
 
1.     Dry roast the mint on medium flame. Roast separately Chana dal and Urad dal on medium flame till they turn brownish red.
2.     Roast desiccated coconut on medium flame for 1 minute.
3.     Roast dry red chillies with half Tsp. of oil.


 
4.     Let all the roasted ingredients cool.
5.     Grind Chana dal and Urad dal together to coarse powder.
6.     Powder chillies, mint, desiccated coconut and tamarind together to powder.
 
7.     Mix all the powdered ingredients together and add salt and jaggery to taste.
8.     Store the powder in an airtight container
