Mirchi Masala
Mirchi
masala or chilli masala is a typical Maharashtrian way of making. The
chillies can be eaten as pickle or with roti, bhakri or just with steamed

Ingredients

Long Green chillies
Turmeric Powder
Cumin Powder
Coriander Powder
Godha Masala / Garam masala
Mango Powder / Amhoor
Salt
Oil
Mustard
Asafetida

Method
1. Wipe the green
chillies dry and make a small slit between the chillies.
2. Heat oil in a
pan and season with mustard. Add asafetida.
3. To the seasoning
add the green chillies and mix well. Heat should be medium to low. Cover a
lid and cook for 10 minutes. Once in the while stir the chilli, they should
be slightly soft.
4. Mix all the dry
powders and salt together in a bowl. Taste check if you need more of any of
the masalas.
5. Now add the
mixed dry masala to the green chillies and mix well. See that all the chillies are well coated with the masala. Cook for another 10 minutes.
In this process do not cover the lid.
6. Masala Chilli
ready to taste.
