Horse gram
Green Gram

Method
1. Mix both the
gram and cook with lot of water in a pressure cooker for 4 whistles. Simmer
the stove and cook for 10-15 minutes.
2. Filter the water
and separate cooked gram. Save the cooked gram for later use to make a salad.
3. Now in a small
mixer jar add a tbsp. of cooked gram, grated coconut and tomato and grind it
to smooth paste.
4. Meanwhile take
the filtered water in a large pot and add tamarind paste, turmeric powder,
jaggery and salt. Let it boil.
5. To this add the
ground paste and a spoon of rasam powder and let it boil. Add curry leaves
and coriander leaves and boil for 5 more minutes.
6. Do the seasoning
and pour it over the rasam.
