Dill Chutney


 Here goes a recipe from my mom - Dill Chutney / Sabakshi Chutney. The dill leaves are aromatic, which make the flavorful and tasty.

Ingredients
 
 
 
Dill Leaves / Sabakshi
Tamarind
Green Chillies
Desiccated Coconut
Salt / Jaggery
Oil
1 Bunch
½ Tsp.
5-6
1 Tbsp.
To Taste
1 Tbsp.
For Seasoning
Mustard
Urad Dal
Chana Dal
Oil
Asafetida
½ Tsp.
½ Tsp.
½ Tsp.
As Reqd.
A Pinch
Method
 
1.     Clean the leaves and chop them roughly. Cut the green chilies too.
2.     Heat a tbsp.. of oil, add chopped dill leaves, tamarind and green chillies.

 
3.     Saute on low to medium flame for 15-20 minutes till done. Just before putting of the stove add dessicated coconut and sauté for a while.
 
4.     Let it cool. Grind the sauteed mixture with very little water.
5.     Do the seasoning and pour over the chutney.
6.     Dill chutney ready to serve
