Tengulalu


 Tengulalu is varient of Chakkli that is a little spicier and yummy too. Just like Chakkli, you can't resist this snack and can't have enough of it!!

Ingredients
 
 
 
Urad Dal
Rice Flour
Green Chillies
Sesame Seeds
Salt
Oil
1 Cup
3 Cups
3-4
1 Tbsp.
To Taste
To Deep Fry
Method
1.  Pressure cook urad dal with ½ cup of water for 3 whistles. Let it cool. Grind the cooked dal with green chillies to a smooth paste.
 
2.  To the dal paste, add the rice flour and sesame seeds. Prepare the dough.
3.    Add water little by little to make a stiff dough
 
4.    Keep oil ready to deep fry.
5.    Now take a Murukku maker which has different attachment plates, the one used here is with some round holes in it.
 
6.    Take a small amount of dough and fill the maker.
7.    Now with the help of the top mould of the maker press the dough directly into the hot oil.
 
8.    Fry them until done or golden brown. Drain them on a paper towel.
 
9.    Let it cool and store it in an air tight container.
