Palak Puri
Spinach
puri is green in color and yummy in taste which kids will like for sure. You can even add some dried spices / garam
masala while kneading the dough which tastes yummier. Here is a simple and an
easy variety if you have some left over spinach leaves. Serve with any gravy
dish or simply with some pickle.

Ingredients
|
Wheat Flour
Sooji / Semolina (optional)
Spinach Puree
Salt
Oil
|
1 Cup

Method
1. In a mixing bowl add flour, salt, spinach puree, sooji and mix add water little by little only if it is necessary and make the dough pliable. Knead the dough well till the dough is smooth.
Note: To make spinach / palak puree,
just blend some leaves in a blender to a smooth paste. Add little water if
required to grind.
2. Divide the dough equally to 6-8 round balls (about a table tennis ball size).
3. Roll them into
small circular shape neither too thick nor too thin.
4. Heat oil for
deep frying. Oil should be hot.
5. Drop the rolled
puri slowly into the oil. Press the puri slightly with a frying ladle so that
the puri puffs.
6. Turn the puri
other side and fry. Fry till both the sides get golden green in color.
7. Spinach Puri / Palak Poori ready to serve. |
