Batate Bajji / Potato Fritters


A super easy type of bajji. Bhajji / bajji is a savory made of chopped vegetables mixed in spiced batter and deep fried. An Indian version of vegetable fritters. You can make with thinly sliced onion, capsicum, eggplant or even combine all and make mixed vegetable fritters.

Peeled Potato
Gram Flour / Besan
Carom Seeds
Salt
Baking Soda (Optional)
Water
Oil
1 Big
¼ Cup
½ Tsp.
To Taste
A Pinch
As Reqd.
To deep fry
Method
1.  Slice the potatoes thinly.
 
2.  In a mixing bowl, add gram flour, carom seeds, baking soda and salt to a thick batter.

 
3.  Heat oil for deep frying.
4.  Deep each potato slices into the batter and deep fry in the hot oil till golden brown in color.
 
5.  Serve hot with ketchup
