Idli
The
staple food of south India. A simple recipe of Idli that I ground with a
mixer.

Ingredients

Urad Dal
Idli Rava
Salt

Method
1. Soak urad dal for 2-3 hours; soak idli rava for 1
hour.
2. Grind urad dal with a ½ glass of water to a
smooth batter.
3. Drain water from the rava completely and grind
the rava along with urad dal for 1-2 minutes.
4. Let the batter ferment.
Note: If you are in a cold place, suggest keep the batter in
oven with light on or keep the batter under a bulb so that it can ferment.
5. Add salt to the batter.
6. Grease the idli stand and pour the batter and
bake them (approximately 20 minutes).
7. Serve Idlis with butter, chutney and sambar.
