Double
Ka Meetha is a bread pudding dessert of fried bread slices soaked in hot
milk. A dessert from Hyderabad. Here is a simple way to make this dish. I have
toasted the bread instead of frying it (healthier option J). Easy and a quick recipe from left over

Ingredients
|
White Bread Slices
Sugar
Water
Milk
Ghee
Saffron Strands
Dry Fruits

1 Cup

A Pinch
1 Tbsp.

Method
1. Cut the bread slices to 4 pieces diagonally.
2. Roast the slices to light brown color applying
ghee.
3. Soak saffron strands with a spoon of milk.
4. Take water and add sugar and boil on a low flame
till you get a syrupy consistency approximately takes 15 minutes.
5. Boil milk on low to half of its size. Now add the
soaked saffron strands and give a mix.
6. Arrange roasted bread in a deep dish. Pour sugar
syrup first all over. Then pour milk all over the bread slices so that it
soaks completely.
7. Now garnish with dry fruits and serve after it
gets cooled and fully soaked up.
Note:
Sliced almond and pistachios. Roast the bread on a tawa/skillet.
