Vermicelli in Curd

delicious alternate to curd rice. Vermicelli / Semiya cooked and mixed with
curd and seasoned.

Curd

Oil

Method
1. Boil water in a pot add a spoon of oil.
2. To this add vermicelli and let it cook. Keep
checking so that they do not form lumps or becomes mushy. Keep stirring.
3. Cook for 8-9 minutes.
4. Drain the water. Add milk to the cooked
vermicelli.
5. Let it cool.
6. Heat oil and add mustard, let it splutter. To
this add urad dal, chana dal, cumin seeds and curry leaves.
7. Now add curd, salt, sugar and the seasoning to
the cooled vermicelli.
8. Adjust the consistency to your desire by add more
curd or more milk if required.
9. Garnish with roasted cashews and coriander
leaves.
Note: Another alternative is you can add half cup of chopped
cucumber, grated carrot or pomegranate seeds to this vermicelli curd mix.
