Mango Dal / Maavinkai Tovve is a simple and a tasty dal. Kids will like it.
Generally in all my cooking I like to add a bit of sweetish tinge that is why
I add a bit of jaggery J
Now all
around the year raw mango is available so that’s easy….

Ingredients

Toor Dal
Chopped Raw Mango
Green Chillies
Turmeric Powder
Curry Leaves
Coriander Leaves
Salt
Jaggery (Optional)

Method
1. Cook dal separately in a pressure cooker.
2. Slit green chillies.
3. In a vessel take ½ cup of water add turmeric
powder and cook in the chopped raw mango pieces and slit green chillies.
4. Pour the cooked toor dal and adjust salt and
jaggery. Add curry leaves.
5. Adjust the consistency and cook on medium flame
till done.
6. Do the seasoning and pour it over the cooked dal.
7. Switch off and garnish with coriander leaves and
serve.
