Hagalakai Huli Gojju is easy on your palate
and is good when you are tired of regular food or need a break with something
simple to get your appetite back.
This is
simple little tangy and a little bitter and sweet Gojju with crunchy Haagalkai.
This can be served cold with hot rice.

Bitter Gourd
Green Chilli
Tamarind Pulp
Turmeric Powder
Jaggery
Salt

Method
1. Deseed the bitter gourd and chop them finely.
Slit the green chillies.
2. Dilute the tamarind pulp with one glass of water.
3. Add jaggery, turmeric powder and salt to the
diluted water and keep it for boiling.
4. Let it boil nicely on low to medium flame for 6-7
minutes. Switch it off.
5. Immediately add the chopped bitter gourd and
green chillies to the boiled tamarind water and close the lid.
6. Make the seasoning and pour it over the Tamarind
Gojju and cover it.
Note: Served after the Gojju cools
down. Seasoning with coconut oil tastes even better.
