Tomato Rasam

Method
1. Pressure cook dal and tomatoes together. Once it cools
down grind both and set them aside.
2. Now coarsely grind cumin seeds, coriander seeds,
pepper and garlic.
3. Mix both dal tomato and the coarsely ground
spices. Add water and bring it to desired consistency and boil.
4. Add salt as well.
5. In a pan heat some oil, add mustard. Once it
splutters add garlic, curry leaves and asafetida.
6. Pour the seasoning and garnish with coriander
leaves and switch off the stove.
