Spinach / Palak Pulao
Mild flavored rice, simple and cooked with some spices and spinach.
Green in color and taste too good. Sometimes I grind the spinach to make this
rice. I am sure for people who don’t like spinach will definitely love this
rice. You can enjoy this rice with raita and papad.

Basmati Rice
Spinach / Palak
Onion
Tomato
Green Peas
Curd
Ghee
Oil
Cumin Seeds
Dry Fenugreek Leaves

Green Chillies
Ginger
Garlic
Cinnamon
Cloves
Cumin Seeds
Fresh Coconut

Method
1. Chop spinach finely .Onion
and tomato to be chopped small.
2. Grind the above to a
smooth paste.
3. In a pan heat ghee and
fry basmati rice and dry fenugreek leaves on medium for 5 minutes and set
aside.
4. In the same pan heat oil
and season with cumin seeds.
5. To this add chopped
onion and fry on medium heat for 4-5 minutes.
6. Add ground paste and sauté
till the oil oozes.
7. Now add spinach leaves
and mix and cook for a minute, later add chopped tomato and green peas and
let it cook for 4-5 minutes.
8. Mix fried basmati rice
and spinach mixture add the curd and water.
9. Cook rice.
Note: I add two and a half cup of
water for a cup of rice.
Here its three and a quarter plus half
cup curd.
10. Spinach Pulao is ready,
serve it hot….
