Kosambri
A traditional salad of Karnataka. During Ramanavam kosambri
and panaka are served. This dish is also prepared on almost all the major functions
like marriages and festivals. Served in the temple as Prasadam. Prepared with
a few raw vegetables and pulses can be done quickly. Tastes very goods, kids
will love it for sure. Can be garnished by adding shredded coconut too….

Method
1. Chop cucumber finely,
grate carrot and cut the green chilli finely.
2.
Soak moong dal in water for 1-2 hours with a pinch of
turmeric powder in it.
Note: Turmeric
powder gives little yellow color.
3.
Drain the soaked dal off the excess water.
4.
Now in a mixing bowl add all the veggies and the dal.
5.
Add salt and lemon to taste.
6.
Prepare the seasoning and pour over the salad.
7. Garnish with coriander
leaves and serve.
