Dantina Soppu Palya / Amaranth Leaves Curry
Dantina Soppu Palya goes
well with both Rice and Rotis. In Andhra style cooking, jaggery is not added
but I have added a little to go with Tamarind.

Amaranths Leaves / Dantina Soppu
Onion
Tomato
Tamarind Pulp
Jaggery
Chilli Powder
Salt

Mustard
Chana Dal
Oil

Method
1.
Chop onion, tomato and Dantina Soppu finely.
2.
Heat oil in the pan and temper with mustard and chana dal.
3.
Add chopped onion and sauté for 3-4 minutes on moderate
flame.
4.
Now add chopped Dantina Soppu / leaves and add chopped
tomato and cover the lid of the pan and cook till they are done.
5.
Add chilli powder, salt, Sambar Kaaram, jaggery, and tamarind
pulp and mix well.
6.
Cook for another 4-5 minutes.
7. Dantina Soppu Palya is
ready.
