Method
1. Peel the skin of the beetroot and dice them to
small pieces. Slit green chillies.
2. In a fry pan heat oil, add mustard when it starts
to crackle add urad dal and then add curry leaves.
3. To this add the cut beetroot and green chillies.
4. Sprinkle water and cook on moderate flame till the beetroot is done.
5. Once the beetroot is cooked add salt and mix well
and cook for 2-3 minutes.
6. Garnish with grated coconut (fresh/frozen).
Note: You can pressure cook beetroot
chopped or whole.
If cooking whole, after pressure cooked
you can cut it.
