Bean
Soup is a filling soup, healthy and tasty too. This soup contains 16 types of
beans and veggies in it. The bean mix is easily available in any departmental
store under the name 16 bean mix.

Method
1. Soak the bean mix for 2-3 hours.
2. Chop onion, carrot and celery to small pieces.
3. Cook the above ingredients “To Grind” in a
pressure cooker and grind it to a puree.
4. In a pressure cooker add the soaked bean, onion,
carrot, celery, bay leaf and 3 cups of water and cook up to 3 whistles.
5. Once the pressure goes down, add in the ground
mixture to the cooked bean mixture.
6. Add salt and Italian seasoning and let it boil.
7. Adjust the soup consistency by adding some water
before the soup boils.
8. Squeeze lemon to taste and garnish with coriander
leaves and serve the soup.
Note:
The 16 Bean Mix contains: Pinto Beans,
small red beans, pink beans, red kidney beans, great northern beans, baby
lima beans, large lima beans, black eye peas, small white beans, black beans,
whole green peas, yellow split peas, green split peas, lentils, chick peas,
pearl barley.
The Italian Seasoning contains: all
dried parsley, thyme, oregano and basil.
